So... after all the joy of tons of patches over last couple of weeks on the grid, I was finally burnt, fried, crispy critter, and decided to do something completely and utterly brainless and stupid! Yes, me... something brainless! Let's continue on to check out the silliness that is Ele's brain...

Greetings from the new year of 2010! I have to admit, 2009 was a bit of a mixed bag for me personally, but I'm looking forward to 2010 and all the possibilities! I do want to give a big thanks to those who have let me know the Poser Tutorial was helpful to them! Hopefully, if I ever slow down at InWorldz, I'll be able to put some more tutorials up for people!
Speaking of InWorldz... yes you knew I had to do it :) Let's continue to what's new and improved and what we're striving for!

Crazy, crazy, crazy, granted it's a short drive for my mental faculties, but still, it's been a crazy time for us over at InWorldz. So much going on over there lately, that it still just boggles the brain at times to juggle which projects are going on when.

So, again, another busy busy month for us over at InWorldz. This last week has definitely seen alot of changes to the features of InWorldz. I worked progressively on an Incentive Program for our landowners, which now leads into a new Resident's Incentive Program for our normal citizens. There's alot going on, but I'm feeling almost caught up on the workload!

We recently upgraded the OS to 0.6.5, what alot of changes, some for the better, some not so much. Good news is there's a lot of good backbone to work with in there... bad news, my workload just increased about 10-fold hehe.

So I decided a little update was needed in regards to my last post about OpenLife, and the lack of support one receives there.
Now yes, I do have a grand time working on InWorldz, but I still had a monetary interest in OpenLife, and as such, I have a right to expect a certain degree of support. As should anyone, who puts their money into a grid, startup or not, OL, LCO, SL, doesn't matter. You have a right to expect a certain level of support.

Time to cut those nasty little strings I've had hanging on me which still bound me to OpenLife. It's kinda sad to be honest to see such a good possibility come to such a lousy end, but that's the way things go at times. I finally got fed up enough to stop paying Sakai his fees.

Wow, I've been busy over the last few weeks! I finally decided the blog here needed a bit of attention today. So I decided that it was time to let go of all the OL references, and old articles linking to OL. I'm not going to blast it, or the people therein, I simply do not have the energy or the time to be concerned with OL at this point.

I had some time last night to put together some new freebies on Valencia for people! Yay me! Anywho's, there are 2 sets of living furniture that have freebies available to them, by left clicking on the vendor signs in front of the set you want: The Hudson and Tropical sets.
Each set has one chair (in the case of the Tropical set, it's the square chair you see in pics), one endtable and one lamp. All of the chairs have MAS embedded to them, so there's 3 solo female animations, 3 solo male animations and 2 cute couple animations for cuddling.

Last week or so, I've been busy with checking people's regions for those persnickety bad scripts that seem to be responsible for crashing script engines. And a few people have wondered how to check those scripts and know what to pull, so I figured it was time for little guide on how to check your own region.
Couple of things to bear in mind before you get started on this:
1. Always suspect SL scripts first. Scripts from SL are not necessarily the best written scripts in the VW. Sure, they work in SL, but that does not mean that they are well written.
2. If you understand anything about scripting, and I mean like you can see an LSL method, and say OHHHH I know what that is then here's a couple things to keep in mind in the scripts as your digging through:
a. Timers are not the evil dweebs they were before. This doesn't mean go crazy with them, but you can put them in with a nice 10+ sec time to it. Anything under that is still too harsh on the script engine.
b. Listens are evil. Doesn't mean you can't use them. Again, this requires a bit of thought, to close the listen out after an x amount of time. Also, use these sparingly and just when absolutely needed.
c. TargetOmega has had some nasty things happen with it, namely it can crash a region in minutes. Not advised to use it
